THREE.8.WERKS:

Since December 2003 THREE.8.WERKS, Ferdinand's Crew, began with the intention of growing into a small, close-knit quality VW/Audi Car Club. Of course back then, our name was VWFixx New York Chapter, and there was more interest in hanging out, than participating in car shows and events. The ultimate goal for Tania Santos, the founder, was 1st. quality members and a close 2nd. quality cars. Fast forward to 2009, and you see one of the most prominent, respected and participating VW/Audi Car Clubs in the Northeast Region, now spreading to the FL area as well. Our goal is to maintain positive camaraderie, participate in the community and enjoy our Volkswagens and Audis to the fullest. We carry on more like a brotherhood than your run-of-the-mill car club. There is no need for a President, Secretary, etc.

What does THREE.8.WERKS stand for? Besides loyalty, respect and achievement, the literal version is quite simple. When we were considering an appropriate new name, Ruben Rodriguez explained his suggestion and everyone quickly agreed it was not only perfect, but truly symbolic. THREE.8 stands for 1938, when the first Volkswagen Factory mortar was laid. WERKS stands for works, or work on our cars. Ferdinand's Crew is the subtitle paying homage to Ferdinand Porsche, our founding father.

We also present the annual eurothon in June, now on it's 9th year with more than 300 show cars. Every year we give upwards of $1000 to local Charities. The event is very laid back and fun. There are People's Choice awards, and the coveted 3.8.W PROPER Award chosen by us. It's a guaranteed good time.
